Global Head HRIS & Employee Services Human Resources, Worldline
My name is Els Rens. I was born and raised in Belgium. I have been working for SD Worx for 24 years now. After graduating as a Master in taxes, I started as a trainee consultant international employment and followed a steady parcours in consultancy from trainee to manager. In the beginning of 2019 I started my current job as Business Manager and I’m responsible for a team of 70 consultants specialized in international employment, Flex Income Plan and Warrants.
I like to spend my free time with my 3 children (21,19,12 years old), my partner and my border collie and of course my dearest friends. I’m also very fond of my oldtimer motorbike which I have been neglecting the last years because my precious dog came into my life and needed long walks in the woods.
I also work as a finance director in a SME providing temporary power for events. A challenging job in COVID-crisis but an enrichment in my professional expertise.
I’m fascinated by nature, culture and music in a very broad sense. That’s the story of my life : interested in many things, eclectic in my choices, generalistic in my background.
Working in an environment with a lot of international employment, I saw many clients struggle post M&A in this domain and as a business manager I have been struggling with an acquisition myself. I also experienced that most issues after a M&A can be managed, but the impact on people and HR is the most difficult and neglected one.
